The Ottomatic 2.0 automates the classic Chemex pour-over. It heats water to the specialty-coffee target of 197.6–204.8°F, runs an automatic pre-infusion, then uses its "Greedy Cup" sprayhead and a staged, pulsing water bath to extract evenly into a Chemex carafe. The hot plate keeps coffee warm, a second switch position brews iced coffee with the plate off, and the tank holds up to 8 cups. It fits 3-, 6- and 8-cup Classic and Glass Handle Chemex brewers and works with Chemex Bonded filters.

Can I use a Chemex I already own?

Yes, if it is a 3-, 6- or 8-cup Classic or Glass Handle, or a 3- or 5-cup Handblown model. CHEMEX also sells the Ottomatic 2.0 without a carafe. The 8- and 13-cup Handblown carafes do not fit.

How do I make iced coffee?

Use switch position II, which brews with the hot plate off, and brew over ice in the carafe.
