Affiliate disclosure
RightDeals is free to use because stores may pay us a commission when you buy through our links. Here is exactly how that works.
On this page
RightDeals is free to use. We earn money through affiliate programs: when you follow a link from our site to a store and then buy something, that store — or the affiliate network that manages its program — may pay us a commission on the sale.
What this means for you
- You do not pay more. The price you pay at the store is the same whether or not you arrive through our link.
- Links are labelled. Buttons that take you to a store are marked as affiliate links, and pages that contain product links carry a short disclosure near the top.
- Not every store pays us. We may show offers from stores we have no affiliate relationship with when they are relevant to you. Where we do have a relationship, it does not change how an offer is displayed or sorted.
Programs we participate in
Amazon Associates. RightDeals is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
We may join other affiliate programs, for example through affiliate networks. This page lists only the programs we actually participate in, and we update it when that changes.
Commissions never decide rankings
Commission rates, affiliate status and payments from stores are not inputs to RightScore, to the order of products in lists, or to the picks in our guides. The score is calculated from product and offer data only, and the scoring code does not read commission data at all. The method is published on how we rank products, and every change to it gets a new version number.
Sponsored content
We do not currently publish sponsored content. If that ever changes, sponsored pieces will be clearly labelled as sponsored at the top of the page, and they will still follow our editorial policy.
How links work technically
When you click an outbound offer link on a product page, it first passes through a RightDeals address beginning with /go/. We record the click without storing your IP address in readable form, and attach a reference so that the network can tell us whether a purchase followed.
Links to Amazon in our guides and picks go directly to Amazon.com and contain our Associate tag. They are marked as affiliate links, we do not show Amazon prices unless they come from Amazon's own data service, and we never change the product you land on.
In both cases the store and its affiliate program then apply their own cookies and privacy policies. Details are in our privacy policy.
