"Cosori or Ninja?" is one of the most common questions people ask before buying an air fryer, and these two models are a big reason why. The COSORI TurboBlaze 6-Quart and the Ninja Air Fryer Pro 4-in-1 (AF141) are both single-basket basket-style fryers, both run on 120 V household power, and both sit in our kitchen and home starters list.
They are built for different kitchens, though. The Cosori aims at families who air-fry most nights and want more temperature range and settings. The Ninja keeps things simple, with four functions and a lighter, lower body. This comparison is based on maker specifications and our buying checklist, and it covers the differences that actually change day-to-day use.
Capacity: 6 qt vs 5 qt
The Cosori holds 6 quarts (5.7 L), and COSORI rates it to serve 3–5 people. That extra quart matters most when you are cooking a main for the whole table instead of a side for two.
The Ninja's 5-quart basket is still generous for its class. Ninja says it fits up to 4 lb of fries or 5 lb of chicken wings, which covers most snacks and sides for a couple or a small family.
Both are single-basket designs, so everything in the basket cooks at the same temperature and time. If you want a protein and a vegetable cooking at different settings at once, look at a dual-basket model instead. Our Ninja DualZone DZ401 vs Cosori TwinFry comparison is a good place to start.
Functions and controls
This is the biggest practical difference between the two.
Cosori TurboBlaze:
- 9 presets
- 90–450°F (30–230°C) temperature range
- 5 fan speeds, driven by a DC motor
- Timer from 1 minute to 24 hours
- Rated under 53 dB of noise
There is one catch. Each function sets its own fan speed, and you cannot change it yourself. You get the benefit of different airflow levels, but not manual control over them.
Ninja AF141:
- Four functions: Air Fry, Roast, Reheat and Dehydrate
- Up to 400°F
- 1,750 W of heating power (the Cosori is rated at 1,725 W, so heating power is close)
- A recipe book and cooking charts in the box
The Ninja has no bake or broil setting. Ninja does not list a noise rating.
Basket coating
COSORI specifies a PFAS-free ceramic nonstick coating, and both the basket and the plate are dishwasher-safe.
Ninja lists a nonstick basket with a crisper plate but does not state the coating type. That doesn't mean anything is wrong with it. It just means the information isn't on the spec sheet.
Footprint and weight
The Ninja is described as designed to save counter space. On paper, the two footprints are closer than you might expect:
| Cosori TurboBlaze | Ninja AF141 | |
|---|---|---|
| Dimensions | 11.8 × 14.4 × 11.9 in (with handle) | 14.84 × 11.34 × 10.55 in (L × W × H) |
| Weight | 13.2 lb (6 kg) | 10.67 lb |
Where the Ninja clearly wins is height and weight. It stands about 10.6 in tall versus about 11.9 in, and it is roughly 2.5 lb lighter. That helps if the fryer has to fit under wall cabinets or go in and out of a cupboard.
The Cosori is the bulkier unit. COSORI notes it is 14.4 in deep with the handle, so measure your counter depth before you order.

FAQ
Can either of these cook two foods at different temperatures at once?
No. Both are single-basket air fryers, so everything inside cooks at one setting. For separate settings at the same time, you need a dual-basket model. See our best air fryers list for options.
Which one is better for a family of four?
The Cosori is the better match. Its 6-quart basket is rated to serve 3–5 people. The Ninja's 5-quart basket fits up to 4 lb of fries, which works for small families, but larger mains may take more than one batch.
Does the Ninja AF141 bake?
Not as a dedicated setting. Its four functions are Air Fry, Roast, Reheat and Dehydrate, and it has no bake or broil mode. If baking matters to you, an oven-style model may suit you better.
