Our verdict

For daily calls, presentations and recording at your desk, the MX Brio is the webcam we would buy: built to stay clear in poor and backlit light, with real privacy and framing controls. It needs a USB-C port that supports USB 3.0, its fine controls need Logi software on Windows or macOS, and the warranty is only one year.

MX Brio is Logitech’s most advanced webcam: an 8.5 MP Sony STARVIS sensor with 70% larger pixels than the Brio 4K, 4K at 30 fps or 1080p at 60 fps, and AI face-based image enhancement that Logitech says gives 2× better face visibility in difficult light. Two beamforming mics reduce background noise, a built-in shutter rotates closed for privacy, and Show Mode lets you tilt the camera down to share notes on your desk. In Logi Options+ you can fine-tune exposure, white balance and the field of view (90°, 78° or 65°).

Why you’ll like it

  1. 01

Look clear even with a window behind you: the large sensor and AI face-based enhancement are built for low and backlit light.

  2. 02

Choose 4K at 30 fps for detail, or 1080p at 60 fps for smooth motion when you record or present.

  3. 03

Two beamforming microphones reduce background noise, so everyday calls sound clean without a separate mic.

  4. 04

Rotate the built-in shutter to cover the lens completely — no sticker or clip-on cover needed.

  5. 05

Show Mode: tilt the camera down to share a sketch or document lying on your desk.

  6. 06

Frame yourself the way you like with a 90°, 78° or 65° field of view and up to 4× digital zoom.

Great for

  • Remote and hybrid workers on video calls every day
  • Teachers, trainers and creators who record at a desk
  • Anyone whose built-in laptop camera looks grainy

Maybe skip it if

  • Your computer has only USB-A ports
  • You join only the occasional call — a simpler 1080p webcam will do
