Honest catch: Bench seats only — not for bucket seats

Our verdict

A well-thought-out hammock for anyone who drives with a dog: full coverage, a split for a passenger and Kurgo's lifetime guarantee. It is made for bench seats only, and it is spot clean or hand wash — not a machine-wash cover. Measure your back seat; big trucks and SUVs need the Extended Width model.

A hammock-style seat cover protects the whole back seat and creates a level platform so your dog cannot slide into the footwell. Kurgo's Rover Hammock measures 55 x 56 in, is waterproof and stain resistant, and anchors at eight points, including Kurgo Bench Beans seat anchors and under-seat paracord. A center zipper lets you fold half down for a passenger, hook-and-loop openings give access to seat belts and LATCH anchors, and you can unclip the front headrest straps to use it as a simple seat cover.

Why you’ll like it

  1. 01

Protects your seats from fur, mud, water and claws.

  2. 02

Safer, calmer rides: the hammock keeps your dog from sliding into the footwell.

  3. 03

Room for people too: unzip the center and fold half down for a passenger.

  4. 04

Stays put: eight attachment points, seat anchors and under-seat paracord.

Questions people ask

Will it fit my truck?

Measure your bench seat from left to right. For full-size trucks and large SUVs, Kurgo suggests the Extended Width Rover Hammock (63" x 56").

Can a person still sit in the back?

Yes. The center zipper lets you fold down half of the hammock for a passenger.
