Best thing: On-demand warm water, not a small tank
Honest catch: Needs a 120 V outlet within reach of the 3.5 ft cord
For a household that wants real hygiene and comfort, the Swash 1400 brings the features of pricier seats — endless warm water, heated seat, dryer, deodorizer and a two-user remote — with a three-year warranty and DIY installation. The catch: it needs a power outlet near the toilet, and you must pick elongated or round to match your bowl.
Cleaner with less paper: warm-water front and rear wash with adjustable pressure and spray width.
Comfortable in winter: warm water on demand, a heated seat and a four-level warm-air dryer.
Hygienic by design: dual stainless-steel nozzles retract and self-clean before and after each use.
Easy for the whole family: the remote remembers settings for two people, and a blue night light guides night visits.

Measure from the seat bolt holes to the front of the bowl: 18 to 19.5 inches is elongated, 16.5 to 17.75 inches is round. Brondell also asks for at least 1.5 inches from the bolt-hole centers to the tank.
Brondell says no plumbing knowledge is needed: it comes with a bidet hose and an all-metal 7/8-inch T-valve that fits your toilet's water supply. You do need a 120 V outlet nearby.
The nozzles self-clean before and after each use. The carbon deodorizer filter is replaceable; Brondell cites about six months of life.
